Golf Course Facts

The Agate Beach Golf Course opened for play in 1931 as the Agate Beach Golf Links.

The original course was designed by Frank Stenzel, Sr. and was purchased by and operated since 1960 by the Martin family. The signature hole, par 3 number eight, installation of an irrigation system, driving range, tee boxes and a new clubhouse were built in the 60’s. The course layout is fairly level with a slightly rolling terrain surrounded by a lush wooded area. It is well maintained throughout the year and is especially suited for year-round play.

Through the years golfers have enjoyed the course with friends and family making it a family tradition. It continues to be our commitment to provide an enjoyable round of golf. Lessons, a full-service pro shop featuring sportswear, equipment and rentals are available seven days a week.

Enjoy the “game of a lifetime” at Agate Beach Golf Course.

Signature Hole 8

A Memorial to Bill Martin

Head golf professional Terry Martin says his favorite part of the course is the eighth hole, par 3, which his father Bill constructed in 1960. Number eight is a 115-yard hole with towering fir and hemlock trees. The challenging green is guarded by a large bunker.

This hole serves as a memorial to Bill Martin, who passed away in 1995.
