Before you play

The original course was designed by Frank Stenzel, Sr. It is a nine-hole, par 36 layout, and you can play it once for nine holes or twice for eighteen. The yardage table below lists the nine holes; for eighteen, you play the same nine a second time.

Please check in at the pro shop before you play. If you are playing eighteen, check in again after the ninth hole.

Eighteen holes: men’s 5,810 yards, par 72, rating/slope 66.6/115 · ladies’ 5,338 yards, par 76, rating/slope 69.8/115. The signature hole is the 115-yard par 3 number eight.

Rules & Etiquette

USGA Rules Govern All Play

Out of bounds is marked with white stakes. The 150-yard marker is the rhododendron; discs in the fairway are red = 100 and white = 150.

Golf course etiquette

  • Pace of play: play each 9 holes in 2 hours or less. Stay up with the group ahead.
  • Keep all pull carts and power carts off tees and 30 feet from greens.
  • Rake sand bunkers, replace all divots, repair your ball mark plus one more.
  1. Check with the pro shop prior to playing.
  2. Maximum of 4 players to a group. Any group that does not have 4 players may have players added at the discretion of the pro shop.
  3. Play one ball only. No practicing on golf course.
  4. Each player must have a set of clubs.
  5. 18-hole players, check into the pro shop after finishing 9 holes.
  6. Alcoholic beverages consumed on golf course must be purchased through our restaurant according to Oregon law. No personal coolers.
  7. Absolutely no one under the age of 21 will be allowed to rent or operate golf cars.
  8. For a penalty of two strokes, the player may choose to proceed under the alternative to stroke and distance when his or her ball is lost or out of bounds (Local Rule E-5).

Players not abiding by the rules and etiquette of Agate Beach Golf Course will be asked to discontinue their play.
